I'm coming!

Okay, I have been really bad about updating the blog lately. It has been a very long 6 weeks. Knee surgery, Aubrey and I having head colds that lasted for weeks, the stomach flu passed around in the family and a 3 day hospital stay for me. Things are getting better so I will be updating soon. I hope to do it this weekend....
Til then, thanks for reading, we'll be back up and running very soon!

Yeah, I know

Its been awhile, I know. Here is a quick update. I had left knee surgery on Monday to fix 2 torn miniscus', water on the knee, a bone spur and tight tendons. The recovery is going well but I am still in a lot of pain. Laura went skiing with Uncle Richard for the Christmas holiday and with her school last week and she had a great time! Aubrey has been crawling for about a month now, she is eating more 'real' foods now and she now stands up in her crib. Happy 9 months old tomorrow Aubrey!

I will get back to video and pictures again when I can concentrate on blog writing. I hope everyone is well.

Love,
Lisa

Thanksgiving

I had a huge post with details about our Thanksgiving trip....but it was deleted. Thats what I get for working at the same time I am trying to update the blog. We went to Crescent City, CA for Thanksgiving. On Friday after, we drove to Redding and spent time with our family and then drove back home on Tuesday. The pictures are NOT in order, a result of almost 2 hours of posting this. We love and miss you all.

New Kids!

Okay, I admit it...I have been really bad about updating our blog lately. We had so many trips go on in such a short period of time that I wanted a break to do nothing. So nothing is over with and I'm going to try and recap the last month or so. For my 31st birthday on November 30th, Philip bought me tickets to go see New Kids on the Block. I was a huge fan back in 1988 on and it was so wonderful to attend their new tour. It really took me back to the carefree days of life and I didn't want the reunion to end. Here are a few pictures, the video aren't that great to see....I LOVE to watch them, but I'm not sure that any readers would be interested. It makes me wish that I was at the AMA awards this year instead of past years....I coulda, shoulda and woulda made some dreams come true!

More to come....

I'm going to have an early night tonight but I will be back to post pictures of Aubrey on her 6 month old birthday while tomorrow is her 7 month old birthday :( I went to see New Kids on the Block for my birthday at the end of the month and I have pictures and video of that to post also. Thank you for the best birthday gift ever! Be back another day to post more....I will do this before we leave for Thanksgiving!

Long time

It has been awhile since I have updated, it has been a long month! Here goes! At the end of October, Aubrey and I made a trip to Southern California. We haven't been there since my baby shower in March so it was almost everyone's first time meeting her. Grandma Teri met her at birth but no one else had seen her. We spent 10 days there and came home in our own new (but used) vehicle. I can't say I am a fan of driving back and forth to CA. It was long and tedious, but Aubrey made it just fine. We stopped on our way home and stayed in Mesquite, NV because she was screaming and having no more of her car seat. I was glad to be able to visit with my friend Carol and her family in Las Vegas, but wish I had taken some pictures while I was there. Here are a few pictures of our visit.

6 months already?

On Sunday, Aubrey is going to be 6 months old. Where has the time gone? Time has flown by so fast, but we are really enjoying every bit of her. She is eating more now. She loves bananas and hates green beans! Her new food is oatmeal cereal with apple juice. She had peaches last night and LOVED them! She is starting to sit up on her own. She needs very little support and she will sit for you for a long time! She can roll all over the place and scoot wherever she wants to go!
Laura is doing well, almost through the first quarter at school. She is making friends and has been really active with her dance team at school. They had their last home game performance today after teaching 48 little kids a new dance. Dad works hard with her on her math homework and she is growing into a great little lady.
Last weekend we got our first snow of the season. We woke up Saturday morning to about 6 inches of snow! It was very nice. Since then the weather has cooled off. Today it was 71* and it felt so HOT! We are planning to go visit our family in California for Thanksgiving so we are working on saving for that. Thats about it here! We miss you all :)
